Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are worshipped as an ‘epitomes’ of contemporary pop music. But did someone wonder how a Bieber and a Grande would sound like when they emerged into the 80s?
YouTube user TRONICBOX has spawned videos of how the pop icons’ songs could have sounded if they were in their twenties during the great eighties. The YouTuber fired up two of Bieber’s newest singles – “Love Yourself” and “What Do You Mean?”. Although the videos were uploaded two months ago, its popularity spirited once again after several media outlets such as Huffington Post, NME, and Harper’s Bazaar featured it.
Both videos repeatedly skimmed faces of Beiber cropped into portraits with the 80s signature hairdo and open-buttoned blouse.
“For a while, I couldn’t find a way to make him sit in the mix. This is the best I’ve got. Probably sounds nothing like the original…Enjoy time travelling!” the caption wrote.
Both old-school remixes accumulated hundreds of thousands of views and a multitude of ‘thumbs up’ feedbacks from Youtube users – and even pleaded him to produce more music videos featuring other artists.
