Would someone dare to plunge into a sugar-filled jacuzzi like this guy?
A viral video showing a “gallant” American man leap into a 1,500-gallon pool filled with soda drink Coca-Cola, 200 pounds of ice and a bucket of Mentos chewable daggers was uploaded on video-sharing site YouTube. As expected, viewers went “bonkers” over the wild adventure, which has collected 15 million views as of this writing.
Taras Maksimuk, a technology video blogger who posts under the nickname TechRax, boasted his friend’s toxic and chilly bath with the caption, “After weeks of buying thousands of Coke bottles and many more hours of opening and pouring, the magnificent Coca-Cola pool was created. ”
In the video, Maksimuk introduces his viewers to his “playground” and focuses his camera on the murky water’s sparkling fizz. “This is something that you wouldn’t even see in the movies. Absolutely amazing,” he quipped while he and his pals started dumping sacks of ice cubes into the pool.
The next thing that happened was a dare no one might have expected –a volunteer named Ryan splashes into the pool and pours more Coca-Cola.
“How does it feel on your skin?” Maksimuk asked Ryan.
“It feels smooth, actually, though I feel the fizz on the inside and it feels really weird,” Ryan described his cool experience. He even dipped his head into the pool.
“Ryan stayed in the pool for roughly 20 minutes and didn’t notice any significant changes to his skin or hair other than feeling really sticky,” Maksimuk told the Huffington Post.
Since Maksimuk’s channel features videos of prototypes being quashed, including an iPhone being immersed in boiling soda and hot lava, he used a DJi Phantom 4 drone and taped the martyred drone as it sank into the pool. Gianna Francesca Catolico
