It’s newly sworn-in President Rodrigo Duterte’s first day in office, and it seems like his communications team got through a baptism of fire with its first online gimmick.
The Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO) on Thursday morning launched the #PartnerForChange campaign ahead of Duterte’s noontime inauguration at Malacañang.

The campaign works by sending an automated “personal message” from Duterte through a graphic, with the text: “Dear ___, Be a partner for change. Let us build a better Philippines, together.—Rodrigo Roa Duterte.”
The graphic is being sent to any user who tweets with the hashtag #PartnerForChange, whose username is automatically being carried in the message.
However, some netizens took the campaign lightly and changed their usernames to funny phrases and profane words, which ended up being published in the graphics.
Some usernames included, “crazy,” “paidtroll,” “Drvg$Xx,” “douchebag,” “Bukkake,” “Not Hugot Account” and other obscene words.
