In a span of two minutes, a university canteen in South Korea became a “river.”
A viral video posted on Facebook shows ponderous rainwater pouring and bursting through the ceiling of a cafeteria in Yonsei University in Seoul on Friday, July 1.
University student Jahun Yoo posted the shocking footage on the same day with the caption, “A real situation.”
The two-minute-30-second video shows a light drizzle of rainwater from the ceiling instantly transform into a waterfall after a part of it falls down. Panicky students grabbed their books and bags, and rushed to safety. The video racked up nearly 90,000 views as of this writing.
Korean Facebook users commented on the video, commiserating with those who had lost their the books and gadgets. They described the horrifying clip as ” a scene from disaster movies.”
