Over 10,000 retro Amiga games from the ’90s just went online through Internet Archive, a non-profit library for free books, software, websites, music and movies, among others.
The veritable digital time capsule website lists Lemmings, Batman: The Movie, Double Dragon, and Bubble Bobble as just some of the thousands of retro titles that are available from its site, The Next Web reports.
However, Hall of Light, another website that archives classic games, lists only 5,698 games for the Amiga game system, which means that there could be duplicates among the collection collated by Internet Archive.
The games are playable right on the browser using the site’s own embedded emulator. It can take a minute or two to launch, so the option to download the game data and run it on a separate emulator is also available. Alfred Bayle
