Netflix jokes about North Korea’s own video streaming version

Online streaming service Netflix humorously took a swipe at North Korea’s own version of “Netflix.”

The world’s biggest video-streaming site renamed itself as a “Manbang knockoff” on its Twitter account. Netflix frequently writes funny posts and descriptions on its social media accounts.

North Korea recently unveiled its TV and video streaming service called Manbang, which means “everywhere,” NK News had reported, citing state broadcaster Korea Central Television.

Manbang connects the state-controlled intranet to five TV channels and documentaries online. Also, North Koreans can read their state publication Rodong Sinmun, watch KCTV and skim on English and Russian channels.
