New York subways disallow use of Samsung Galaxy Note 7s in trains

With airlines starting to ban the Galaxy Note 7 on their aircraft, Samsung can’t be too happy right now. Unfortunately their trials seem to be far from over as New York subways have also begun advising commuters to turn off or avoid charging their Note 7 devices while inside trains.

The New York Metropolitan Authority said it had yet to report any incident of malfunctioning Note 7s. Nevertheless, it has taken precautionary measures by posting several tweets urging commuters to not use or charge any Samsung Galaxy Note 7 device while on trains and buses, reports Engadget.

While this won’t do anything to help Samsung’s rapidly dropping market share, it may help to prevent any incident from ever happening. It could also help to convince stubborn owners to take up Samsung’s offer and send in their Galaxy Note 7 for a replacement.  Alfred Bayle
