Instagram introduces ‘save draft’ feature

After unveiling a new feature that lets users zoom in on photos, Instagram is introducing a new “Save Draft” feature.

Following a series of beta tests last year, the photo-sharing app now allows users to start a post, save a copy of it and revisit it at a later date before posting.

The new option is available by pressing the “Back” button in the app—a function that automatically discarded edits in the past.

To view multiple works in progress, users simply need to tap the Camera icon at the bottom of the screen and proceed to the “Library” option, just below the title “Drafts” folder.

News of a “Save Draft” feature first circulated in July, when Instagram previewed the update to a small group of users as form of A/B tests.

The experimentation stage reaped positive response and the new feature is now live and available to all IG’s iOS and Android applications.  Khristian Ibarrola
