An unemployed British man who “desperately” wants to be David Beckham’s doppelgänger has become the newest target of social media wrath.
On Monday, Jack Johnson guested in the British show “This Morning” and told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that he was spending thousands of pounds for surgeries to imitate the English footballer-millionaire, Mirror.co.uk reported.
Since he is unemployed, the 19-year-old Johnson confessed that he poshly utilized money from loans and £15,000 (P 938,000) in benefits to pay for his stringent procedures, including cheek fillers, eyebrow lift, chin fillers, lip fillers, dental veneers and frequent tanning injections. It even stretched to the point where doctors “kicked him out” due to his hefty surgical demands. However, he remained “determined” to spend a whopping £30,000 (P 1.8 million) more on future operations.
He told the hosts, “I love him (David Beckham), how he looks, his lifestyle. When I try and look like David Beckham I feel much better about myself inside.”
“I want to be good at it, I don’t want stuff chucked at me I want to work my butt off to get my goal. I do love myself how I am, I just want to look like David Beckham,” Johnson defended.
Schofield blurted out his frank opinion about Johnson’s struggles to be like Beckham: “With picking someone like David Beckham, you’ve got to have the bone structure to work on because it’s going to be very hard to look like him.”
“Isn’t that going to make you sadder? That you don’t look like Beckham and that you’ll be in thousands of pounds worth of debt,” he further criticized. Likewise, Willoughby focused on coercing the teen to focus on cultivating his well-being and career.
When the hosts queried Johnson how he would pay off his stockpile of debt, the teen was disturbingly silent.
Twitter users who watched the segment whacked Johnson.

“Dude looks like Kim Jong Un, not David Beckham,” one user roared, comparing his looks to the North Korean dictator. Another user humorously cracked that Jackson resembled another “David.” “I think the surgeon got the wrong David,” the user tweeted.
“This is exactly what is wrong with young people in this country deluded and want to be famous more than anything. RIP dignity,” one user dished out his thoughts. Gianna Francesca Catolico
