Now, “boring” videos could become “cool” with this streaming site.
Napflix, which styles itself as a “Netflix” of dull and uninteresting clips, could lull you to sleep. Known as a “siesta video platform,” it stocks hundreds of hourlong videos such as “Traditional Latin Mass,” “World Chess Final 2013,” “Quantum Theory” and “The Apple Farm.”
“We all know the feeling of insomnia. Your body wants to sleep but your mind is still awake and active. So how can we steady up our mind? Napflix is a video platform where you can find the most silent and sleepy content selection to relax your brain and easily fall asleep,” the website’s description reads.
Likewise, several videos are also available on its YouTube account.
Just that alarm clock that disrupts a good night’s sleep, Napflix has an option to snooze timer for either 10, 20, or 30 minutes.
The site’s concept is analogous to Norwegian “Slow TV,” where people spend relentless hours staring at relaxing clips of knitting, train trips and nature-gazing, Washington Post reported. Gianna Francesca Catolico
