These days, people send out email to everyone and anyone. So every now and then, a few embarrassing ones get sent out to the wrong people. Good thing for iPhone users, the Gmail for iOS will now have an ‘unsend’ function.
The added feature is part of the biggest redesign that the Gmail app for the iPhone has gotten in recent times, reports Mirror.
After sending out an email, users will be given five seconds to realize whether or not they made the biggest mistake of their life. Within this time frame, a gray bar at the bottom will appear that can recall the sent email before it damages social lives or careers.
Tapping “undo” will send users back to the email composition screen where they will be able to make the necessary changes. This feature will be available whether or not the” undo send’ “function is enabled in the web version of Gmail.
A few other features that came with the update includes faster searching with instant results and spelling suggestions, as well as swiping to archive and delete items from the inbox.
The Calendar has also been updated to have month and week view in landscape, Spotlight Search support, and alternate calendars. Alfred Bayle
