Another round of recalls is being facilitated, but this time it’s from a well-known action camera brand. After being just over two weeks on the market, GoPro has issued a recall of its new Karma drone.

The Next Web reports that CEO Nick Woodman stated that the recall is due to safety concerns that were caused by power-loss malfunction and unpredictable behavior of the drones.

Woodman’s official statement is as follows:

“Safety is our top priority.

“A very small number of Karma owners have reported incidents of power failure during operation. We have moved quickly to recall all units of Karma and provide a full refund while we investigate the issue. We are working in close coordination with both the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and Federal Aviation Administration. We are very sorry to have inconvenienced our customers and we are taking every step to make the return and refund process as easy as possible.”

Some 2,500 Karma drone units are set to be recalled and it couldn’t come at a worse time for GoPro. The company recently announced that it had missed its quarterly revenue expectations by 23 percent.

Those who bought a Karma drone need only follow a set of instructions to return the product and get their refund.  Alfred Bayle
