Steam has unveiled its top-selling games of 2016 on their site, and it’s a mixture of classics and newcomers.
The ranking is divided into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The Platinum section includes long-running multiplayer FPS CS GO, as well as popular MOBA DOTA 2. Surprisingly, controversial No Man’s Sky also makes it to the Platinum list but could probably be owed to the initial hype.
Another oldie is Grand Theft Auto V which was released way back in 2013 and yet still manages to remain popular to this day.
Over at the Gold section, titles such as the farming game Stardew Valley and the classic Team Fortress 2 make their mark. Warframe, a 2013 released multiplayer title, also remains popular. Other titles in Gold include Rise of the Tomb Raider – 20 Year Celebration, ARMA III, Dead by Daylight, Stellaris, DOOM (2016), Call of Duty Black Ops 3, ARK, Rainbow Six Siege, and H1Z1: King of the Kill.
Deus Ex – Mankind Divided only managed to rank in at Silver, along with Watch Dogs 2 and Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. The rest is a mixture of old and new titles such as FARCRY Primal, PAYDAY 2, and Cities Skyline.
Down at Bronze, we find Dishonored 2 and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, both very recently released titles. For the rest of the titles, you may check out Steam’s complete list through this link. Alfred Bayle
