While our streets are littered with so-called “drivers” and we are plagued by the headache that comes with it, people in other countries like Korea tend to practice a more responsible kind of driving that would be alien to a lot of local public (and even private) drivers.
The clip shows an accident that had stopped traffic inside a tunnel in Korea. To make way for emergency personnel, the drivers coordinated to have each of their cars properly moved to the side to open up ample room in the middle of the road for emergency vehicles to access.
This clip has been making rounds lately in social media channels, sparking a sense of awe, and a little envy, at the attitude of the Korean drivers. One YouTube clip may not be enough to give a general description of Korean driving in general but it does paint a good picture of people working together in a time of emergency. Alfred Bayle
