The company behind the groundbreaking animated flicks “Inside Out,” “Toy Story” and “Finding Nemo” wants to share its brand of storytelling to people like you.
Disney’s Pixar has launched a six-episode online series covering the basics of animated storytelling through online platform Khan Academy.
In the “Art of Storytelling” series, directors and filmmakers of blockbuster Pixar films team up to lecture on how they create the back-to-back scenes of each animation. The genius who will lead the online series is Pete Docter, director of “Inside Out, “Up” and “Monsters Inc.” Variety reports that other Pixar veterans will make guest appearances, including Mark Andrews, who worked on “Brave” and “The Incredibles”; Sanjay Patel, animator on “Ratatouille,” “Cars” and “Monsters, Inc.”; and Domee Shi, story artist on “Inside Out.”

“Art of Storytelling” is the third season of “Pixar in a Box” on Khan Academy. Previous seasons tackled animation techniques such as color science, simulation, character modeling and virtual cameras.
Just like any other online class, each module has lectures, exercises and hand-on-activities for learners to studiously create their own storyboard.
