Drones have been adapted to a myriad of uses, from making deliveries to ferrying people around. The Chinese have taken the trend to the next level when they started attaching flamethrowers to drones.
Entrepreneur reports that an electric company in Xiangyang, China is the one that came up with the fiery idea. The purpose of which is to burn off garbage caught on power lines.
It may sound strange, but looking at the height and inherent danger of the high-voltage power lines, the drones seem justifiable as opposed to sending a guy up and clearing the garbage by hand.
