Nintendo of America co-founder passes away at 71

They say it’s only natural for many of the old-timers in different industries to pass away at some point in time, but that doesn’t make the loss any less sad. This time around, it’s one of Nintendo of America’s co-founders’ turn to pass through the pearly gates.

Alan Stone has died at age 71 due to cancer. Stone was one of the movers behind SEGA and most recently Nanotech, reports gamnesia.

After his time with Nintendo, Stone joined SEGA back in 1994 as CEO of SEGA Enterprises (now SEGA Entertainment). Since joining Nanotech, he played the a role as chief operating officer and board member for the company.
