On a small scale, 3D printing might be a bit pricey for most individuals. However, bringing it up to the scale of full-sized buildings helps to accentuate more of the technology’s potential.

Apis Cor, a San Francisco-based company, has proven that 3D printing technology can be economically applied to home building, based on a project that was built at their Moscow test facility, reports The Next Web.

The Apis Cor printer is a single unit shaped like a crane that requires no major assembly when transporting to the site of construction.

It’s quite impressive that a small house could be erected in just 24 hours, when it would take at least several days going about it in the traditional way. Alfred Bayle/JB
