The summer season makes it difficult for people to withstand the blistering heat, making them dehydrated and prone to heat stroke. Not only humans are victimized by the sun’s rays, animals also suffer from the harsh summer heat, just like this King cobra found in India’s Kaiga region.
Instead of killing the beast, cops quenched the 12-foot-long cobra’s thirst with water from a pet bottle. The cobra sipped the water and calmed down, to the cops’ amusement.
The video uploaded by Facebook page Public TV became viral within this week, with many Indian netizens complimenting the police for their compassion.
According to the Indian Express, the snake was seen roaming around the village at noon and appeared to be dehydrated and exhausted due to reported drought in the region. Terrified and not knowing what to do, locals called the police, who brought the cobra to an animal shelter after it had quenched its thirst. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
