“The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” has been out for the PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3 since 2011. So with the release of the Switch version, Nintendo throws in a bit of extra for players with Amiibo support.

Amiibo are small character figures exclusive to Nintendo. They interact with Nintendo consoles through near field communication (NFC) and give various in-game items to players.

By tapping a Link Amiibo figure to the Nintendo Switch, players will receive a chest that gives them an in-game costume and gear like Link’s outfit as well as the Hylian Shield from “The Legend of Zelda”.

“The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” is an open world action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. Players take on the role of the Dragonborn and explore the vast landscape of Skyrim based on The Elder Scrolls game universe.

It’s uncertain if other Amiibo figures will provide different items, but sure enough, players will be experimenting with their Amiibo figs once the game is released in fall. JB
