LOOK: Fans revisit ‘Meteor Garden’ scenes during Taiwan trip

Aside from its historical sites and mouth-watering street food, Taiwan sprang as a hot tourist destination for Filipinos for the hit Taiwanese series “Meteor Garden.” Despite airing its final episode 16 years ago, fans continue to rekindle San Chai’s roller-coaster adventures with the F4 gang.

To take their “Meteor Garden” fangirling to a whole new level, netizen Suzanne Dolorito and her friends visited the country to trace the exact locations of some of the series’ scenes.

In a Facebook post that’s been garnering tremendous attention since Monday, Dolorito and her buddies visited National Chung Cheng University, P.S. Bu Bu restaurant and National Taiwan University, where some of the show’s dramatic scenes were filmed.

“Reliving our childhood feels,” Dolorito said. “Half of our Taiwan trip is dedicated to going to places where Meteor Garden was shot.”

“We spent almost the whole day walking around the campus, remembering every scene, and playing Qing Fei De Yi (Meteor Garden’s opening theme) as background music. It was indeed an ultimate throwback of feels,” she added.

They even managed to locate the school’s locker room, where the infamous scene of Cai receiving a red card from F4 was filmed. The image, which was also uploaded on Dolorito’s Instagram account, was noticed by Barbie Hsu, who played Cai in the “Meteor Garden” and its sequel “Meteor Garden II.”

“So many good memories. I miss it,” she commented.

Earlier in April, it was announced that “Meteor Garden,” which mounted actors Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Ken Chu and Vanness Wu into Asian stardom, will finally have a reboot to cater to the younger generation.

When asked about her thoughts on the forthcoming reboot, Dolorito and her friends expressed their hope that the original cast would make a nostalgic appearance in it.

“For us, nothing beats the original,” Dolorito told INQUIRER.net. “But still, we are hoping that this Meteor Garden remake will also have the same ‘feels’ or ‘kilig’ impact. We are also hoping to see a cameo of the original F4 and Chai.”  Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
