For men everywhere, shopping with our significant others could be an extremely tiring ordeal.
The Global Harbor Mall in Shanghai, China aims to provide a remedy for this global dilemma once and for all, by installing several “gaming booths” on the premises’ busiest shopping zones.
The private cubicles, also referred to as “husband relaxation” spots, are scattered across the malls for a one-month test period, Kotaku reported.
Gone are the days when men simply find a place to sit down—with the items on hand, of course—as bored partners may now play video games while their loved ones go through stores.
Judging by a video uploaded by YouTube user Macy Studio, the booth’s free-for-all allure has even attracted children, who stopped by for some classic “Street Fighter” action.
Since the stalls are still on trial basis, there are no air-conditioning or ventilation available yet, which may also limit how long people choose to stay inside.
Cable televisions are also made available for those wishing to simply put their feet up and relax. Khristian Ibarrola/JB
