WATCH: Religious figures collide in new controversial fighting game

As history suggests, religion is one topic not to be messed with, but the developers of 2D video game “Fight of Gods” may have not gotten the memo.

A somewhat “sacrilegious” trailer for the new fighting game has been making the rounds online, showing peaceful deities like Jesus, Buddha, Moses, Anubis and Odin battling it out for supremacy.

The game, which is now available for purchase on Steam for $4.79 (P255), was created by Taiwanese studio Digital Crafter and published by PQube, according to Kotaku.

“Your prayers have been answered!” Steam’s description for the game reads.  “For the first time ever, gods, holy spirits and mythological characters from around the globe and throughout history will clash in an explosive 2D fighter where the entire world is at stake! Who will emerge victorious from the most destructive combat tournament the universe has ever witnessed?”

The clip also features “The Return of Jesus” where He is seen bashing what looks like Buddha with splintered parts of His cross, while “Moses” smacks enemies with the 10 Commandments tablet.

Furthermore, the game will even have Bible-inspired stages like “The Garden of Eden” and the “Red Sea.” /ra
