Apart from sharing and viewing photos and videos, Instagram is all about keeping track of who to follow and who is following you.
The famed social media platform finally addressed issues concerning the latter, as it now allows users to instantly determine if a person has unfollowed you.
As noted by Mashable, a small “follows you” indicator is now seen on most users’ profiles, which alerts users if a person has followed you back.
Prior to the minor update, Instagram users had to manually check their list on the “followers” tab and type in the username of the subject.
The new feature is quite similar to Twitter, which also takes account the number of “followers” for each profile.
Currently the update is only available for several Android device owners, and is not yet applicable for iOS users.
Instagram, meanwhile, confirmed the beta feature to the news outlet by claiming that they are “always testing ways to improve the Instagram experience.”
The minor but extremely helpful update is expected to roll out to all Instagram users in the coming weeks. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
