May the Force be with you — in cleaning away dust and dirt.
After Disney released the trailer of “The Last Jedi”, the newest installment of the legendary movie franchise, Korean tech giant Samsung announced that it is set to release a limited edition “Star Wars”-themed version of the VR7000 POWERbot vacuum cleaner.
The appliance will come in two designs: one of a storm trooper and of Darth Vader. The Darth Vader version will be built with Wi-Fi connectivity and has its own remote control. It will even mimic the Lord Sith’s breathing sounds when turned on. Meanwhile, the storm trooper will say “Let’s Go!” once cleaning starts.
Samsung’s digital appliances business executive vice president B.S. Suh said that the company has been working with “Star Wars” fans for the vacuum.
“From its industry-leading suction power, slim design, and smart features, to the wonderful character-themed voice feedback and sound effects, we are confident the Star Wars limited edition of the VR7000 will be a big hit,” he said in a statement.
Aside from its design, customers can also expect features such as Vision Mapping Plus where the cleaner can work on its own and determine the fastest route around the house. It can also clean small items measuring 10 millimeters.
Pre-orders for the vacuum are now accepted via the company website in the United States. JB
