Twitter users can now publish multi-tweet thread all at once

After expanding its character count to 280, Twitter has rolled out its newest feature that allows users to compose and publish an entire thread of tweets all at the same time.

The platform introduced the “Threads” button, or a plus button that allows Twitter users to create ”tweetstorms” allowing them to share more information or tell longer stories or arguments.

The new button, which can be found in the tweet composer, links their tweets together in just a single thread.

Twitter users can also add more tweets to their published thread with the new “add another tweet” button.

Users can read published threads by clicking or tapping on the “show this thread” button.

The platform will roll out the update to iOS, Android and Twitter.com users in the coming weeks.

Twitter acknowledged for the first time that “hundreds of thousands of threads” are tweeted every day.

“But this method of tweeting, while effective and popular, can be tricky for some to create and it’s often tough to read or discover all the tweets in a thread,” said Twitter product manager Sasank Reddy in a statement on Wednesday.

“That’s why we’re thrilled to share that we’re making it simpler to thread tweets together, and to find threads, so it’s easier to express yourself on Twitter and stay informed.” he said.
