WATCH: Twitter’s new ads explain what’s it for and how it works

Is it your first time to use Twitter? Are you having a hard time understanding it? Then the social media site might have the answer to your questions.

In its new ad released Wednesday, Twitter brought in British comedian Romesh Ranganathan as reinforcement to help two people who are finding it difficult to use the site.

In the first video, a certain Kenny G was having a hard time deciding on a username since his namesake was the famous saxophonist. He even can’t decide what are his interests and whose accounts to follow. Because of his woes, he was afraid to step outside of his own home.

Luckily, Ranganathan, speaking through a megaphone, guided Kenny all the way through his problems. He even brought his team and Kenny’s neighbors to cheer by saying, “Let’s go, Twitter!”

In the next ad, a certain Julio is running in a long road while holding his mobile phone. His problem: he doesn’t know how to explore Twitter. Ranganathan shows up riding a segway and helps the guy explore the social media site, to find the things that interest him.

As Julio started learning how to navigate the site, more people started to join the duo, including basketball player Candace Parker. All was well in the end, when Julio finally understood the site.

Twitter recently upgraded its character number to 280 per post, veering away from the previous 140 which was already considered a trademark. JB
