Having a hard time to look for something handy while wanting to have huge storage? SanDisk might just have your back.
At this year’s Consumers Electronic Show held in Las Vegas, Nevada, the company that specializes in flash storage surprised everyone when it announced that it will be releasing a USB flash drive which has a whopping memory of 1 terabyte, The Verge reported.
SanDisk teased that it will be supported by USB-C, apart from the usual USB 3.0. This gives the device the capability to transfer files, photos, videos and the like to Android phones, aside from only computers.
No price or release date has been set, although The Verge predicted that SanDisk will offer the new product at a high price, since a 1 terabyte USB-C SSD costs around $350 (about P17,600).
However, this USB flash drive is not considered to be the handiest with the most storage, as Kingston has bested SanDisk with its DataTraveler Ultimate GT unit. The device with room for 2 terabytes was released in February 2017. Katrina Hallare/JB
