Panic buyers in one part of the United Kingdom may have unintentionally settled a longstanding pizza debate when boxes of pineapple and ham pizza were left on an otherwise empty grocery shelf.
Twitter user Lewis Wake (@lewiswake) from Ediburgh, Scotland, shared photos of the sad sight of three pizza boxes stacked on top of each other untouched on empty shelves.
He wrote, “The people have spoken.”

Some netizens mentioned the recent bad weather, which made it hard for people to buy food. One comment pointed out that people would rather starve than have pineapple on pizza.

While the photo may appear conclusive on the general public’s pizza preference, pineapple lovers are not giving up the fight.
