MANILA, Philippines – Did you miss out on what’s hip last year due to slow, or worse, no Internet connection in places you love to hang out in?
This 2012, start it right with Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co.’s (PLDT) WiFi Zone,a fast-speed Internet service stationed in public spots all over Metro Manila.
“This new service is like an extension of our subscribers’ Internet connections at home. Now they can experience premium WiFi service even outside their home,” PLDT Vice President for Data Acquisitions Retail Business Group, Gary Dujali said.
He said that the PLDT WiFi Zone has grown to include over 2,000 hot, including select business establishments like Max’s, Figaro, Yellow Cab Pizza, Army Navy, Burger King; commercial areas like Eastwood Mall and Araneta Center; and popular nightspots like Republiq and Opus.
The telecommunication giant said that a certain establishment that has a PLDT-powered Wifi Zone shall bear the logo on its storefront.
PLDT said that landline and myDSL subscribers may enjoy free and unlimited WiFi Zone trial run by availing of the username and password which will be made available just by registering at www.pldtwifizone.com until January 15.
Rocco Nacino, Sara Labatin Anton del Rosario, Isabel Oli and Daiana Menezes are just some of the celebrities who are hooked in to the WiFi Zone experience.
