Square Enix executive Shinji Hashimoto and “Armored Core” producer Toshifumi Nabeshima will be flying to the Philippines in October to host a panel at the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit (ESGS) 2018.

ESGS 2018 will be held from Oct. 26 to 28 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay.

The two producers will attend the event to promote and talk about the latest video game from Square Enix, a shooter called “Left Alive,” according to a post on the ESGS Facebook page, Sept. 23.

Hashimoto currently works as the brand manager for the “Final Fantasy” video game franchise and is an executive officer at Square Enix. Before becoming an executive, Hashimoto was a game producer first. He co-created “Kingdom Hearts” and also worked on the robot shooter game “Front Mission Evolved.” Hashimoto has been with Square Enix since 1995.

Nabeshima is known for producing the “Armored Core” giant robot shooter franchise. Due to his extensive experience with mecha games, Square Enix appointed him as the director for “Left Alive.”

Other big names from the video game and anime industry tapped for the new game includes Yoji Shinkawa, famed for his “Metal Gear” character designs, and “Gundam 00” mecha designer Takayuki Yanase.

“Left Alive” is a third-person shooter game and a spinoff from the “Front Mission” series. It is being developed for the PlayStation 4 game console and PC through online game distribution platform Steam. The game has been scheduled for a Feb. 28, 2019 release for North America and Europe. NVG
