Wanna follow someone new on Instagram but do not know what is his/her username? This new feature might help you out.

The photo and video sharing app announced on Thursday it has rolled out nametag, which makes it easier to find friends easier in person.

Nametag, as defined by Instagram, is a personalized identification card that allows users to find your profile when it is scanned.

Users can see the feature by going to their profile. From there, they just have to click the three lines on the upper right portion and select “nametag.”

Nametag is customizable by tapping anywhere on the screen or clicking the button on the top. Users can choose designs, whether color, emoji or their own selfie.

To scan a nametag, users can swipe right to their camera, hover over someone’s nametag and hold down the screen. Another way is to tap the “scan a nametag” at the lower portion of your screen when you view your own.

The new feature is rolled out today globally, and is available for both iOS and Android users.  /ra
