WATCH: Katy Perry debuts new ‘Final Fantasy’ song, playable characters

It’s official, singer Katy Perry will be joining the roster of Square Enix’s mobile role-playing game (RPG) “Final Fantasy Brave Exvius'” celebrity guests.

Square Enix announced the good news via YouTube on Sunday, Dec. 9. Perry debuted a new original track for the game titled “Immortal Flame”.

Aside from the new single, Perry will also make an appearance in the game — in the form of multiple playable characters. The first part of the singer’s appearance will be available tomorrow, Dec. 12, for a “limited time.”

In the video, Perry, who donned a stunning cerulean gown, can be seen singing her song. Her dog and herself will then be pixelated into the game.

Last year, Ariana Grande transformed into a cuddly and gnarly heroine for “Final Fantasy Brave Exvius”. Grande’s character, “Dangerous Woman”, which got its name from the singer’s 2016 album of the same name, wore her iconic latex black rabbit getup.

Perry, who is no stranger to the world of video games, starred in the “Sims 3” expansion pack in 2012. The “Swish Swish” singer also released her own mobile game titled “Katy Perry Pop” in 2015.

“Final Fantasy Brave Exvius” is a turn-based RPG available for mobile phones. It is a spin-off of the “Final Fantasy” series. JB
