Future Motion has revealed the latest iteration of their Onewheel skateboard, which is also the lightest and most affordable model yet, last Tuesday, March 12.
Not only is the Pint the lightest and cheapest board in the company’s profile, but it also features a couple of extra elements not found on the models that put owners back over $1,000 (P52,000).
The maghandle is an integrated fold-out carrying handle that helps you carry the board wherever you cannot ride it, the simplestop technology helps beginners get the hang of riding without falling off too many times, and the LED lightbar is a display on the board that can tell you information like battery status.
In contrast to Future Motion’s previous Onewheel releases that focused on power, the Pint has been designed for “coffeeshop runs, micro-adventures, commute-hacking and casual riders.” This model has a maximum speed of 16 miles per hour rather than 19 miles per hour like the XR version and a range of 6 to 8 miles instead of 12 to 18 miles.
The cost of the Pint is nearly half that of the XR at $950 (around P50,000) and is available for preorder now. JB
