MANILA, Philippines — The story of how one brave pit bull almost died protecting her owner’s family from a snake quickly went viral online on Wednesday, August 7.
In a Facebook post, netizen Meg Saab shared her appreciation for her dog, “Brave Tasha” after it almost lost its life while battling with a snake that slithered into their Batangas home.
Meg said Tasha, who has been part of their family for the past 8 years, has always been a good dog to the point that she is even willing to sacrifice her life to protect her owner’s family.
“Muli pinakita mo ang wagas na pagmamahal mo di lang sakin kung di sa buong pamilya.Kahit sarili mong buhay tinaya mo para lang masiguradong ligtas ako o mga anak ko,” she said.
In a series of photos, Meg showed Tasha’s ordeal after getting bitten by the snake during the fight. From going to one veterinary clinic to another in the middle of a rainy night, Meg detailed what she and her dog had to overcome.
Fortunately, Tasha survived her fight with the snake and is now recovering. She is indeed a brave dog.
Netizens poured love and praises on Tasha as her owner’s Facebook post has garnered more than 75,000 reactions, 9,000 comments and 35,000 shares. /muf
