A man enlisted the help of a drone to take his pet dog out for a walk while he stays in quarantine in Cyprus amid the spread of COVID-19.

Vakis Demetriou uploaded a video of his dog enjoying a stroll outdoors with its leash attached to a drone, via his Facebook page last Thursday, March 19.

He stated that it was already his fifth day in quarantine before advising others to stay home. However, Demetriou also reminded the public to not forget about their dog’s happiness.

The clip comes days after Cyrpus was placed under lockdown by President Nicos Anastasiades on March 15, Cyprus Mail reported on the same day.

Anastasiades stated that the imposed measures were set for “safeguarding public health and ensuring the economic survival of working people, businesses, economically vulnerable groups and the economy at large.”

More than 292,000 people globally have contracted the disease caused by the coronavirus, as of yesterday, and it has taken over 12,700 lives. Ryan Arcadio/JB
