Man arrested for posting video of sex with girlfriend on Internet

By

MANILA, Philippines—A man was arrested in Quezon City for allegedly uploading on the Internet a video showing him having sex with his former girlfriend, after she refused to get back together with him.

Edwin Diwa, 23, of Molave St., Barangay Quirino, Project 2 was apprehended based on a complaint of his ex-girlfriend, apparently without a warrant from any court.

Case investigator Police Officer 2 Clarence Donato said the victim and the suspect had been in a relationship since May but the woman, citing emotional, physical and verbal abuse she had been suffering from Diwa, decided to end it last October.

Before the break-up, Diwa allegedly threatened to upload their sex video on Internet if she left him.

Despite the break-up, the Diwa  kept on bugging the woman until Thursday afternoon, when she got a message from Diwa that the sex video had been uploaded on Facebook.

This prompted the woman to seek the assistance of the Anonas police station, which sent operatives to arrest Diwa.
