A virtual council meeting in Brazil went on undisturbed even if a participant was seen having sex on a video call.
The Zoom meeting convened by the Rio de Janeiro city council started at 10 a.m. and focused on the food security of students during the covonavirus pandemic, O Dia via Business Insider India reported yesterday, Aug. 19.
It seemed one participant had more pressing matters to attend to: a recording of the meeting showed a man and a woman in the middle of a sexual act.
When attendees realized what was happening, they had the participant’s audio and video cut off, council chair Leonel Brizola said in a statement to UOL. He said that meeting participants had no control over who was part of the video conference.
One council member, Babá, told O Dia that he only learned of the incident after the meeting and that many might have missed it because they were focused on the session. Niña V. Guno/ra
