Globe’s Asticom Group launches new engineering services firm to help telcos accelerate fiber rollout

Asticom Technology Inc., a shared services company wholly owned by Globe, has launched a second subsidiary that aims to help telecommunications providers accelerate their fiber rollouts nationwide.

Fiber Infrastructure and Network Services Inc. (FINSI) is the latest addition to the Asticom Group. The company operates with a license from the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board and will provide end-to-end services and industry-specific solutions to telco companies, towers, and infrastructure and technology, including construction, building, installation, and maintenance services.

Marc Kerveillant, General Manager of FINSI, said: “We are on a mission to accelerate the Philippines into a connected nation, using innovative, leading-edge technologies and world-class local expertise.”

Local telcos are doubling up efforts to lay down fiber connectivity all around the country, as demand for high-speed internet increases due to rapid digital adoption.  Globe, for instance, has already deployed one million fiber to the homes this year ahead of schedule.

Globe has pivoted its primary business to become a digital solutions group. It helps develop a robust digital ecosystem for Filipinos by building on its existing footprint in fintech, healthcare, entertainment, adtech, e-commerce, IT services, and venture capital.

Last January, Asticom also introduced Asti Business Services Inc. (ABSI) as it aims to be the number one shared services provider in the Philippines and Asia. ABSI is a business process solutions company providing enterprises with Above and Beyond Service Innovation with end-to-end solutions for human resources, administrative, finance, and information technology functions.

Since its commercial launch, ABSI has been providing shared services to many industries, including telecommunications, financial technology, information technology, retail, health, logistics, automotive, banking, education, real estate, and aviation.
