HP executives handed over ten units of brand new HP400 Series devices to school officials at a PSHS pilot school in Quezon City. As a hardware provider of Microsoft in Education, HP’s devices will help PSHS to create more student-centered, immersive, inclusive experiences that inspire lifelong learning.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to be part of this milestone,” said Kristofferson Seville, Country Enterprise Manager, HP Philippines. “HP Global has committed to become the most sustainable and just company by 2030. “We have committed ourselves to accelerate digital equity by impacting 150 million people in terms of digitization. We already made an impact on 75 million people, and we will continue to pursue and surpass our target by the end of 2030.”

Enriching PSHS’ digital transformation journey

The PSHS will work closely with Microsoft Philippines, HP Philippines, and Line Learning and Development Solutions to shorten and enrich their digital transformation journey. Instead of undergoing a year of incubation period, PHSH would be able to speed through the process, supported with resources, which includes devices, solutions, and training.

Ideal for school use.  HP’s ProBook 440 gift to PHSH offers a durable and lightweight design with superb CPU performance. Its abundant memory and a huge battery life makes it well-equipped for heavy multi-tasking.

“The Philippine Science High School System is grateful to be a part of the Microsoft Showcase School Accelerator Program,” said Lilia Habacon, Executive Director, PSHS System. “To have partners that help advance quality education is a blessing and a privilege not every school gets to enjoy.”

“We look forward to enabling Philippine Science High School and its other campuses towards digital acceleration and discovering how technology in STEM learning can be an equalizer to promote inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning for all,” said Clarissa Segismundo, Education Programs Lead, Microsoft Philippines.

Member institutions in the Microsoft Showcase School program become part of a global community of pioneer schools that uses Microsoft’s Education Transformation Framework. In the Philippines, Microsoft has partnered with Line Learning and Development (Line Learning) Solutions to provide nominated schools with digital transformation guidance.

“The Education Transformation Framework will serve as your guide, and a great partnership with a device provider like HP, one of the best leading software and education solutions manufacturers like Microsoft,” explained Eufer Pasion, Co-Founder and VP for Operations, Line NLD.  “We will be capacitating you, your educators, leaders and students. With this partnership, we are optimistic that this will further transform the way we teach, the way we learn—as we maximize the technology.”

There are 14 Microsoft Showcase Schools in the Philippines, including De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, De La Salle Araneta University, De La Salle University Dasmariñas, Lyceum of the Philippines University-Manila, Lyceum of the Philippines University Batangas, Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan, Asia Pacific College, and the National University Manila.
