Apple Music Spatial Audio Coming To Mercedes-Benz Drivers

Apple and Mercedes-Benz have something special for their users, or should we say “spatial?” They announced an immersive music feature for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.

Their drivers can now use Apple Music Spatial Audio while cruising. The feature lets them hear songs as if playing from every part of the car’s interior.

It lets them immerse deeper into their favorite tunes. As a result, Mercedes-Benz drivers have a new way to enjoy their rides.

The unique music feature came out in 2021, available for most Apple products with an Apple Music subscription. It now works with Mercedes-Benz models with the Burmester 3D or 4D sound system.

The former costs $4,550, and the latter is worth roughly $6,730. Meanwhile, the music subscription is $9.99 monthly. Here are the models that contain these sound systems:

The Mercedes-Maybach is the only one with a 4D sound system. It consists of 31 speakers and will soon roll out in other models.

Specifically, it has six from above, four in the front seats, eight sound transducers, two amplifiers, and an 18.5-liter subwoofer.

Are these devices necessary for Apple Music Spatial Audio? Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats agrees. Oliver Schusser says:

“Spatial Audio is revolutionizing the way artists create and fans listen to music, and it’s an experience that is impossible to explain in words; you have to hear it for yourself to appreciate it.”

“Together with Mercedes-Benz, we now have even more opportunities to bring wholly immersive music to our subscribers all over the world.”

Mercedes-Benz drivers with Apple Music have immediate access to its ever-growing song library. Also, they could use Spatial Audio playlists like Hip-Hop in Spatial Audio.

Conclusion

Apple Music Spatial Audio is now available for Mercedes-Benz vehicles. They must have the Burmester sound system, and the driver should have an Apple Music subscription.

Besides this collaboration, Apple has been expanding its services to other platforms. For example, iCloud Photos is now available on Microsoft computers.
