Everyone’s Instagram Accounts are Getting Deleted – Here’s Why

Did your Instagram account get suspended? Millions worldwide recently became worried about the same issue. Don’t worry because the platform explained the issue.

It turns out that Instagram is experiencing an outage. The platform confirmed the news stating:

“We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram accounts. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.”

IG users report dropping followers and other issues.

DownDetector, a website that monitors site outages, says thousands of users had Instagram account issues. It started showing reports at 9:00 AM Monday in the United States.

That is 9:00 PM Monday in the Philippines. In response, irritated users shared screenshots of the suspension notices. Others voiced their concerns on Twitter.

Their accounts said, “We suspended your account on 31 October 2022.” People received 30 days to dispute the decision despite not violating the Community Guidelines.

Aside from suspensions, IG users saw their follower counts dip. For example, football player Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to have lost three million followers at around 10:15 AM ET.

The official Instagram Comms page on Twitter released the statement above regarding the issue. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri replied to this message by saying, “We’re working on this.”
