Thanks to advances in technology, it’s now easier to establish and maintain one of the most important things in life: connections. Communicating with loved ones from both near and far, keeping up with news from all over the world, updating yourself with others’ life statuses—all of these are made extra accessible by today’s tech.

This is exactly what the new ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED is all about: Helping you stay connected, no matter what. From delivering premium performance to amplifying your user experience, this laptop is a bridge to you, your everyday life, and the world. We took the ASUS Zenbook 14 for a ‘work and lifestyle spin’–here are the specs and features that we think will resonate well with anyone who’s always on call and on the go:

Connect to work

After a quick test run, we can say with certainty that this is a laptop that will help you finish tasks quickly so you can enjoy more time to live in the moment and focus on what matters most. The new ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED runs on top-tier AI-powered Intel Core Ultra processors with built-in Intel Arc graphics for a premium performance that helps you get every job done faster. In this device, you can experience the efficiency of AI, witness immersive graphics, and do more with high-performance, low-power processing from a powerful dedicated engine that improves your work productivity. We noticed no lags during and in between uses, which should guarantee a full connection and immersion with your work.

The Intel Evo Edition laptop also introduces upgrades to its battery life, which lets you finish your tasks with less interruption. At best, a fresh unit will let you enjoy up to 15 hours of unplugged operation for work, gaming, or content creation with its 75Wh battery (as what we had experienced), and the battery supports up to 20% more charging cycles to maximize your laptop’s lifespan. The new ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED also offers up to 1TB SSD storage, 16GB RAM, and WiFi 6E to ensure smooth and stable operations and file handling.

This device also proves to be the perfect tool for work presentations and file storage as it is packed with essential ports, such as Thunderbolt 4 USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, and–still a very much welcome surprise–a 3.5mm audio jack, that guarantee seamless connectivity for common types of input connections. All these features make it the best fit for every kind of worker and content creator with a keen eye for detail and a need for efficiency.

Here’s an even greater bonus: the new ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED comes with a free Office lifetime license upon purchase, saving you up to Php 6,999 with access to the most popular office and education productivity apps.

Connect to comfort

The Zenbook 14 OLED’s crisp 3K ASUS Lumina OLED 120 Hz display lets you enjoy an immersive visual experience with a high refresh rate. But apart from that, it claims to emit 70% less harmful blue light to protect your eyes during long working hours, which is always a good bonus if you’re looking out for your eye health. But despite the TUV low blue light-certified eye protection it offers, the Zenbook 14 OLED doesn’t compromise the stunning visual quality and color accuracy with its VESA DisplayHDR True Black certification and ASUS Splendid customized color gamut. Its web-friendly 16:10 aspect ratio also gives you more vertical space for working, making it easier to view multiple windows or apps at the same time.

Another factor we’ve noticed that ties up comfort with your Zenbook 14 OLED user experience is its premium ultraportable design. Weighing only 1.2kg light and measuring only 14.9mm thin for ultimate mobility, this sleek laptop is 10% more compact than the previous generation Zenbook 14, which means there’s no need to worry about lugging a heavy gadget while commuting or doing fieldwork because the Zenbook 14 OLED’s thin and light profile makes it easy to carry anywhere you go–an extremely important feature for people who are always in transit and on the go.

Also contributing to the improved and comfortable user experience with the new Zenbook 14 OLED are features like its convenient face login and an FHD IR camera with a physical shutter for privacy. It also introduces the new quiet ASUS ErgoSense keyboard, which has a fine-tuned key pitch, dished key caps, and ergonomic key travel to bring you a comfortable typing experience and reduce any aural distractions so you can focus on working or creating content.

ASUS boasts of a ‘quiet keyboard’ for this unit, but to any cramming person, any keyboard is a noisy one. But to its credit, it does lower down the noise generated, making it an ideal laptop in quiet settings

Connect to nature

Here, we give props to ASUS for integrating sustainability into its design. The new Zenbook 14 OLED proves to be an eco-conscious product made for the Earth. Compared to its predecessors, this laptop proudly attains a reduced carbon footprint and less impact on the environment throughout its entire product cycle, starting from the manufacturing stage by being made with 50% post-consumer-recycled materials and 100% recyclable packaging–love the Zenbook 14 OLED, love Mother Earth.

Because it promises durability, there is an excellent lifespan to be had from the Zenbook 14 OLED, which deviates from an environmentally harmful throw-away mindset. This laptop actually passed US military-grade durability standards, including strict shock, vibration, humidity, and temperature tests, so you know it can handle the rigors of any professional life. On top of the assured quality and durability of the Zenbook 14 OLED, the ASUS 4A Quality and Service guarantees users always-on support through multiple channels, a two-year international warranty, including 63 cities in the country, local accidental damage protection, and a comprehensive nine-step maintenance program all for free. For added peace of mind, users can also upgrade their warranty coverage and purchase tailor-made solutions to various support needs.

Now THAT’s a flat lay!

Honest drawbacks

Any tech review that’s worth its salt will let you in on any drawbacks of a product, and we’re here to shed light on some of what we’ve seen:

– Sound quality is…just okay

We’ve reviewed other laptops, and we’ve heard speakers with deeper, booming bass than what the Zenbook 14 OLED has, but it should serve its purpose (just don’t look for a unique audio experience when unplugged from any audio output devices).

It is exclusively a work laptop

Yes, we said it runs on top-tier AI-powered Intel Core Ultra processors, but please don’t trust it to run your ultra-hardware-intensive games. It will run, but it’s probably not for the best.

– Tinkering with the settings is a must

One must get their settings and preferences in place to get a good digital workplace that suits one’s needs. Things within the Zenbook 14 OLED may have to be adjusted at first, from the display settings to the audio settings, which could get confusing at first but will possibly serve you for a long time.

– It’s not a head-turner

There’s just something about how this laptop was designed and built: it just kind of fades into any background. This really could be a positive or a negative thing, which will largely depend on the user’s way of using it. It’s a device that does not stand out–make it what you will!

In conclusion

Whether for work, personal needs, or more, the new ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3405) is the perfect tool to stay connected with everything happening in the world.
