Apple releases iPad Pro, Apple Pencil Pro
Apple released the improved version of the iPad Pro, which is “the ultimate iPad experience with the most advanced technology.”
It runs the new M4 chip and has an 11-inch and 13-inch version. The latest processor has 1.5x better CPU performance compared to the M2, the iPad Pro’s previous chip.

Its GPU has hardware-accelerated mesh shading and ray tracing. Also, the iPad Pro offers the following noteworthy features:
- OLED display: Both versions have an Ultra Retina XDR display with tandem OLED technology. The latter involves two displays stacked on top of each other, producing better detail and more vibrant colors. Moreover, you may choose a matte nano-texture to reduce glare.
- Camera: Apple moved the front camera to the tablet’s landscape side. The company says it is the optimal position for video calls when attached to a keyboard.
- Thin design: The 2024 13-inch iPad Pro is thinner than the iPod nano, measuring 5.1mm. As a result, it is the thinnest device Apple created. Conversely, the 11-inch variant is 5.3mm thick.
MacRumors says some features from previous iPad Pro models are missing. For example, it replaces the M2 model’s Ultra Wide camera with a single-lens 12-megapixel camera and LiDAR sensor.
The official Apple product page says the iPad Pro cellular models will only accommodate eSIMs. However, eSIM support will also depend on telecommunications service providers.
You may order an 11-inch iPad Pro starting at ₱72,990 and the 13-inch model at ₱94,990. Deliveries will start on May 15, 2024.
What are the iPad Pro 2024’s accessories?
The all-new iPad Pro has two accessories: the Magic Keyboard and the Apple Pencil Pro. The former costs ₱19,990.00 and has the following features:

- 14-key function row for screen brightness, volume controls, and other features

The Apple Pencil Pro is a stylus for the iPad Pro. It is perfect for creative users due to these wonderful features:
- Squeezing the Apple Pencil Pro lets you open a new palette to switch tools, line weights, and colors quickly.
- Rotating the Pencil Pro lets you control shaped pen and brush tools.
- Haptic feedback provides a light pulse when confirming any action, making the user experience more intuitive than ever.
- Hovering your Pencil Pro over the iPad Pro casts a virtual shadow, letting you write and sketch with greater precision.
- Double tapping lets you switch between tools like an eraser and a pen.
- The Find My app lets you locate a misplaced Apple Pencil Pro.
- The stylus charges magnetically on the side of your iPad.
The Apple Pencil Pro costs $129.00 or $10.75 monthly for 12 months. Like the iPad Pro, Apple will start shipping the accessory on May 15, 2024.
