MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Filipino tech startup Packworks won four awards at the KMC Startup Awards 2024 during its gala night on November 15, 2024.
Packworks provides a business-to-business (B2B) open platform to sari-sari stores.

The company gained recognition for its innovative contributions to empowering these establishments and shaping the future of Philippine hyperlocal retail:
- Gold winner: Tech Innovator
- Gold winner: Emerging Business Leader of the Year for Packworks CEO Bing Tan
- Silver winner: Social Impact Award
- Bronze winner: Startup of the Year
Packworkds Chief Executive Officer Bing Tan emphasized Packworks’ mission of helping sari-sari store owners, especially women, while keeping up with the rapid digital landscape:
“We wanted to create a model built around inclusion – to uplift lives and empower the sari-sari stores we work with, not replace them.”

Packworks’ platform empowers over 300,000 sari-sari stores nationwide by digitalizing their operations.
Specifically, it upgrades its pricing, inventory management and sales tracking.
Moreover, it provides access to working capital loans.
The KMC Awards is on its second year and it capped off Philippine Startup Week from November 11 to 15, 2024.
