Lighting plays a significant role in uplifting moods and enhancing the ambiance of a space. But it can also be a practical way to boost savings. The Philips Ultra Efficient lighting range is a new line of products that blends style and sustainability, resulting in cost savings through reduced energy consumption and the long lifespan of its offerings.

With over 600 types of lighting in the Philips Ultra Efficient Line, this range caters to the needs of homes, businesses, and public spaces. These products provide up to 60-percent energy savings compared to conventional LED lights, and they can last up to 100,000 hours.

Finding the right lighting solution can be overwhelming, but Signify Philippines offers support to its customers. The company assists in planning lighting solutions tailored to specific needs.

“At Signify, light is more than illumination. It’s a universal language, a tool for communication, and a catalyst for innovation. It enables smart connectivity, enhances well-being, and drives sustainability,” said Raghuraman Chandrasekhar, Signify Philippines’ commercial leader.

Originally known as Philips Lighting, the company established itself as a global leader before transitioning to Signify in 2018. While now an independent company focused on lighting solutions, its connection with the Philips brand remains strong. Signify continues to carry Philips-branded products but offers more than just lighting.

Chandrasekhar emphasized that their approach is centered on consumer needs, not merely on promoting the most expensive options. “The power is in the hands of the consumer,” he said. “It’s about getting the most efficient system for their space.”

Customers can, for example, dim lights to 20 percent brightness to achieve up to 80-percent energy savings when a space is not in use. These controls can be managed through sensors, remote systems, or pre-programmed settings.

Among Signify’s current clients are BPO companies that sought their expertise to increase savings. One such company, despite having two years of use left on their existing LED system, switched to Philips Ultra Efficient lighting for the larger cost savings it offered.

Innovation and sustainability are at the heart of what Signify does, Chandrasekhar said. “We are committed to it, whether it’s through energy-efficient products, circular design principles, or contributing to the global carbon neutrality goal.”

To ensure customers get the best solutions, Signify’s project partners use detailed data sheets and work closely with clients to select the right products. As experts, they assess and advise on the lighting options that will maximize the benefits for each unique space. Communications can be done through emails or even a site visit, again, depending on the need.

Efficiency is the way of the future. It’s not only good for the pocket but for the environment as well.
