It’s probably not OpenAI’s most spectacular announcement of the festive season, but it sure is fun. From now on, users can converse with Santa Claus at will, via ChatGPT‘s voice mode.

To take advantage of this feature, go to the Settings, then simply choose “Santa” from the list of available voices.

You can also click on the snowflake icon that appears when you launch voice mode. This applies to both the desktop version of ChatGPT and the mobile application.

ChatGPT publisher, OpenAI, says that the Santa Claus voice will only be available until early January. It should also be noted that, exceptionally, these conversations will not appear in the history.

OpenAI is making a whole host of announcements this December, the most important so far being the official launch of Sora. This video generator is capable of producing an original sequence lasting several seconds based on a simple text prompt.
