DITO teams up with ZTE to boost Philippine internet connectivity

ZTE and DITO Telecommunity partner to deploy cutting-edge TDD Massive MIMO technology, enhancing mobile capacity and user experience in the Philippines.


MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Telecom company DITO Telecommunity has partnered with Chinese telecom provider ZTE Corporation to improve the internet connectivity in the Philippines. 

Both will deploy 32T32R TDD Massive MIMO technology, which shows better performance than 8T8R, 64T64R and other configurations.

It exceeds 8T8R in the following aspects:

  • 92% increase in average cell traffic volume
  • 75% growth in average connectivity users

The DITO-ZTE collaboration aims to meet the growing connectivity needs of Filipinos. 

Their latest technology and expanded network is expected to enhance spectrum utilization and user experience.
