‘Metaverse Filipino Worker’ film features Pinoy digital pioneers

MANILA, Philippines — YGG Pilipinas announced the YouTube launch of its short film, “Metaverse Filipino Worker,” which explores the transformative impact of Web3 in shaping the future of work in the Philippines.

The Metaverse Filipino Worker or MFW represents the newest iteration on the role of the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

The age of the Metaverse Filipino Worker

OFWs have been addressing the country’s widespread unemployment while supporting its economy, earning them the title of “modern-day heroes.”

Thanks to Web3, Pinoys can become MFWs and reap the international opportunities of an OFW without leaving the country. 

As a result, they do not need to leave their families, which is one of the biggest struggles for OFWs.

Moreover, MFWs perform digital work that requires advanced skills, seamlessly adapting to the digitally-evolving job market.
