The most noticeable difference from other AI models is the “Thought” window that lists Grok 3’s reasoning process.

Its first “thoughts” were:

“Alright, I need to evaluate whether Grok is better than ChatGPT and DeepSeek. I should consider their capabilities, performance and user feedback. Let’s break it down.”

Then, it found and studied 25 web pages related to the topic, discussed their latest features, and weighed their pros and cons.

Surprisingly, the bot also checked user feedback from X posts for additional insights.

Eventually, it concluded, “There isn’t a clear winner among Grok, ChatGPT and DeepSeek.

“Each model excels in different areas, and the best choice depends on the user’s specific needs and priorities.”

The xAI model specified which AI program is best for what purpose:

  • Use Grok 3 if you prioritize speed, human-like output, and real-time data access, especially for technical and reasoning-based tasks.
  • Choose ChatGPT if you need versatility, creative capabilities, and a well-established platform for a wide range of applications.
  • Use DeepSeek if you prefer a cost-effective, open-source model for technical tasks and value data privacy, despite its limitations.

However, its DeepSeek commendation for data privacy will depend on how people use it.

DeepSeek is open-source, meaning people can run it locally. Otherwise, the online chatbot’s policy states that it sends user data to the Chinese government.
